Your
journey to the perfect diamond begins with a one-on-one consultation.
Fifth C will guide you down the right road, educating you
and listening to your desires and needs. The process begins
with The Four Cs: the four important features that
must be considered when finding the perfect diamond.
Clarity is
a measure of inclusion a diamond may contain. An inclusion
is a spot or blemish contained within the stone. Inclusion
may take the form of a black spec (often called a Carbon spot),
a white feather or the appearance of a crack.
Color –
Diamond color can range from a pink to canary yellow, from
champaign brown to blue. However the most desired color is
not actually a color but rather colorless. The closer a diamond
is to being colorless the more rare and expensive it is.
Carat –
Since all diamonds are of the same density, carat really translates
to the weight of the diamond. The higher the carat weight,
the larger the diamond.
Cut –
This is the only characteristic of a diamond that we can control.
The more perfect the cut, the more light captured, the more
amazing the diamond looks, the more fire/brilliance the diamond
reflects
The Fifth C,
and the reason to choose Fifth C when looking for the perfect
diamond, is Chuck Konderla. I will share over 11 years
of experience in selecting the perfect diamond. Although there
are 4 commonly recognized "C"s, I bring forth the
other characteristics you need to consider when making your
selection. For example, fluorescence, depth/width ratios,
table percentage, crown, pavilion and culet measurements,
polish, symmetry, and appraisal bodies such as GIA, IGI, EGL,
AGS, independent graduate gemologists etc.
